PetBook is a social app for pet owners: a photo feed, pet profiles and health records, a marketplace, pet-care providers and AI pet-care scans. This policy explains what we collect and why.
• Account: your email address and password (stored hashed), display name, handle and bio.
• Content you create: posts and captions, comments, pet profiles, health and feeding records, marketplace listings, orders, provider bookings, messages and reports.
• Photos you take or choose from your library for posts, pets and listings (only the photo you pick is uploaded).
• AI scans (where available): the pet photo you scan and the result.
• Wallet: your token balance and token history.
• Diagnostics: basic technical logs kept by our hosting provider.
To run the app: show your profile and posts, keep your pet records, process marketplace orders and bookings, run AI scans, keep the community safe (reports, blocking, moderation) and fix problems. We do not sell your personal data and we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
• Other users see what you publish (profile, posts, comments, listings).
• Service providers that host and run PetBook for us: Convex (database, file storage and backend) and, where AI Care is available, Anthropic (the scanned photo is sent for analysis only).
• The current iOS and Android apps have no ads, no in-app purchases and no AI scans, so nothing is shared with advertising or payment providers.
• When required by law.
You can edit your profile, delete posts, comments, pets and records, make your account private, and block other users. You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Delete account; this permanently removes your profile, pets, posts, comments, messages, orders, bookings, AI history and login.
We keep your data while your account exists and delete it when you delete your account. Data is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS).
PetBook is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
